A
monogomous couple sets the tone, each (sitting) comfortably
with each other. They fit. There are similarities: each chair
is the duplicate of the other (they could be considered a-typical).
The two chairs face, they move around, over and on-top of
one another becoming increasingly explicit and suggestive.
Each of these 23 positions are recognisable, intimate and
revealing. Love Seats (Positions 1-23) is part of a broader
body of work concerned primarily, with the process of design,
the presentation of design, furniture and its relationship
to the human figure, sexuality and the fetishism of objects.
Installation, sculpture, photography, text and print are the
primary media used in these investigations.
