Exhibit Name: SPOT Stool (and InBetween Desk)

Design Intent: SPOT: Originally the logical adult version of the Nest highchair - because adults kept asking if I had done one they could fit into! Boost Juice then assisted in tooling money in return for a set of exclusive colours for use in their juice and salad bars Australia wide. Intent is basically a compact seat size for a range of bum sizes which is easy to clean and holds bright colours without fading - ie UV stabilized and longwearing. I am now looking at different bases and casings to extend the use of the seat tool.and INBETWEEN desk has come about as a result of the popularity of the wheely indoor hydraulic lift base shown at ICFF in NYC in May - everybody wanted it with a matching desk.

INBETWEEN: I have been playing with the idea of a flatpack simple desk which could be customized by the user - INBETWEEN is a progression from my earlier Nuzzle table and allows the user to put photos, artwork or fabric between the two layers of acrylic to dictate their own surface pattern.

Description: SPOT: UV stabilized polyethylene seat with either 304 stainless tulip base (outdoor and commercial use) or powdercoated wheely hydraulic base.

IN BETWEEN: stainless and clear acrylic flatpack desk.

Production: SPOT - in production since December, all made in Australia and currently also shipped to the USA .

INBETWEEN - at prototype stage, goes into production end of August to be made in Australia and also in Italy

Market: From inbetweens - kids 7 years and up - to adult. SPOT has residential and commercial application, INBETWEEN is residential - mainly for Inbetweenagers and teenagers.

You should know: I have designed a diverse range of objects - my Nest highchair, exh ibited in WORKSHOPPED 02, won a Design Mark in 2003 and is now produced in Italy and sold around the world. My HOG water tank was featured on the New Inventors and is about to be sold offshore. I am currently dividing my work between architectural projects and object design and my ambition is twofold - to revolutionise greywater reuse in houses and to live in a ski town designing Winnibagos with my family Simon, Dotty, Lol and Bob the dog.
