Exhibit name: floor lamp

Design intent: The concept of this range of lamps is to produce an unusually decorated shade, larger than most to not only add light to a space but to also add colour through natural materials - timber and flora. I wanted to use a single, cubic light box and lift it up with a simple frame of timber.The size and choice of papers were critical in allowing me to design a variety of lamps for tables and the floor which are unique , not only for their naturally occurring characteristics. description: hand made papers using a variety of flowers and other natural materials, with a solid Australian timber,dovetailed frame. height= 260 x 260 x 950mm high

Production: we are producing runs of each style in multiples of 10 and can see demand taking us to a constant production position for two makers this year.

Market: Sales generally have gone to private buyers interested in interior decoration enhancement rather than those after a lighting solution other than decorative. The table lamps have been selling well in pairs for bedside tables , etc. and they may well find a strong market for first class hotel fitouts.

You should know: along with lamps , I have been working on a related screen design using similar materials and aiming to add bright colours ( as with the lamps ) to fit outs with a practical application to boot.
