CRAIG HARRIS

Exhibit Name: A bot (A bunch of tubes)

Description: The seat is intended to be used inside or outside, in public or private areas. It can be made from several materials, depending on its intended use. The top can be made from tube steel, fiberglass or wood and the leg frame can be made from different tubular metals. The seat can be made as a 1, 2, 3, or 4 seater. The different sizes are governed by the length of the straight section. The height and width will always remain the same (420mm high X 475mm wide). In designing the seat I was trying to create an unbroken form were the seat and legs seemed to blend, and not be two different components.

Production: The bench was designed to be made using a cnc-rolling machine but since designing it I have found that it could be produced using several different methods. Designed for batch production

Market: From inner city patios to public bench seats.
